Emma Henriksson, SWEDEN

Miss Emma Henriksson is a national of Sweden. Emma is a Sveriges Riksdag Congresswoman (The Honourable Swedish Parliament) by the Christian Democratic party, representing the city of Stockholm.

Emma is one of youngest and most dynamic members of the Riksdag. Currently she serves on the Finance Committee and is the Assistant Director of the Transport and Communications Committee.

The main areas of action of Miss Henriksson entail the promotion of international developmen and youth leadership. Emma speaks Swedish and English and can be contacted at the following E-mail:

Yupar Myint, UNITED KINGDOM

Miss Mynt Yupar is a national of Myanmar. Yupar is the Programs Director of the Entrepreneurship Centre (CfEL) at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, England.

At CfEL Yupar has facilitated entrepreneurial initiatives worth of 150 million pounds annually. She contribute actively in entrepreneurship research projects from leading companies such as Unilever, Microsoft Research, Deloitte and Touche. Myint hold a BA in International Relations, an MBA from Cambridge University and a Masters in International Business earned at the Asian Institute of Technology.

Patrick Mendis, USA

Mr. Patrick Mendis is American-Sri Lankan. Patrick is Vice President of Academic Affairs at the Osgood Center of International Studies in Washington, Director of Tsunami Caring Leadership Foundation (TLC) and Visiting Professor in Public Policies at the University of Pittsburgh.

Previously Patrick was Director of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the US Department of State. He holds a MA in Development and International Relations and a PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota and post-doctorates at Harvard, Yale and Columbia University respectively.

Mr. Kelvin Marcano, VENEZUELA

Mr. Kelvin Marcano is a national from Venezuela. Since 2003 Mr. Marcano is Principal Economist at the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) and Professor of Macroeconomy at the University of Zulia. Prior joining the BCV, Kelvin earned solid experience at the Venezuelan Ministry of Finances and the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Chile.

Kelvin holds a Master degree in Policy Management and International Political Economy, University of Tsukuba, Japan and a MBA with concentration on Strategic Management awarded by the San Pablo University, Spain.

Ms. Deborah Inga Zapata, PERU

Ms. Déborah Inga Zapata is a national from Perú. She is Educator and Journalist from the University of Applied Sciences, Lima. After finishing her undergraduate studies she undertook further training at the University of Sorbonne Paris IV, France and the University of Berckeley California, USA.

Deborah has successfully developed her journalistic career in a number of prestigious national-coverage newspapers such as the Empresa Periodistica Nacional (EPENSA), Radio Programas del Perú (RPP) and The National Television of Peru (TNP) in which lately she conducted program aimed at promoting leadership among young peruvians.

Ms. Irene Barquero, HONDURAS

Ms. Irene Barquero is a national from Honduras. She is presently working as Foreign Direct Investment  Coordinator for the Honduras National Competitiveness Program, project which is financed by the World Bank (WB) and executed by the Foundation for Investment and Development of Exports (FIDE). Her main responsibility is to develop and supervise the implementation of a National Pro-active Investment Promotion Strategy in Honduras.

Before joining FIDE, she worked as International Consultant to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in several projects aimed at promoting and financing Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs)

Ms. Xuan Li, CHINA
 
Ms. Xuan Li is a national from China. She is a Research Fellow both at the World Trade Institute (WTI), Switzerland and the Intellectual Property Research Center, Zhongnan Economics and Law University, China. Ms. Li undertakes consultancy activities both to the European Union (EU) and the Ministry of Commerce, China. 
 
Ms. Li has been invited at various international conferences both in Europe and Asia on issues related to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and Intellectual Property Protection.

She pursued a Master's degree on Public Policy and Economics at the Korea Development Institute (KDI). Ms. Melanie Vincent, CANADA

Ms. Melanie Vincent is a national from Canada. She is member of the Huron Wendat First Nation in Wendake, Quebec, Canada and Director of the First Nations Socioeconomic Forum Secretariat. Previously she worked as Social Services Coordinator for the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador.

Melanie holds a Multidisciplinary Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Communications and Spanish Language from the Université Laval, Canada and a Master degree in Criminal Justice Administration, University of Phoenix, USA.
 
In 2004, she was awarded a fellowship to carry out a training program for Aboriginal Leaders at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, (UNCHR) in Geneva, Switzerland. Ms. Renata Brandstätterová, CZECH REPUBLIC

Ms. Renata Brandstätterová is a national from Czech Republic. She currently is an Economic Affairs Officer at the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, where she is responsible for WTO and EU issues.

Earlier, she worked as Consultant both at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Develiopment (UNCTAD), Switzerland; in the preparation of Investment Guides for a number of  Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and the United Nations Economic Comission for Europe (UNECE) in a regional project on Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) on  Commonwealth Independet States (CIS countries).

Mr. Bongo Adi, NIGERIA

Mr. Bongo Adi is a Nigerian national. He is a JSPS Research Fellow (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) and Adjunct Lecturer at the World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program, University of Tsukuba, Japan where he earned his PhD in 2006 and a Master in International Political Economy. Previously he served as policy analyst with the Nigerian Economic Summit Group. He is also a United Nations University Fellow.

Mr. Adi has an extensive knowledge of African development issues and has published scholarly articles on the rural economy, corporate social responsibility, as well as rural poverty dynamics.

Ms. Dessy Irawati, INDONESIA

Ms. Irawati is a national from Indonesia. Before moving onto the PhD endeavour on Business and Innovation at the Business School of Newcastle University, United Kingdom (UK); she gathered solid international experience at Panasonic, Indonesia. 

Dessy holds a bachelor degree in Strategic Management, Brawijaya University-Indonesia and a Master degree in Innovation Creativity Enterprise and Management, Newcastle University Business School, United Kingdom (UK).

She is also involved in international SMEs consulting and the teaching of International Management and Strategic Business Management. Mr. Adrian Gallardo, ARGENTINA

Mr. Gallardo is a National from Argentina. Graduated as  Geologist from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), he spent some time working at the most remote parts of the Andes for the development of mining projects. Off-road vehicles, but more often a horse, a mule or a good pair of boots, led him into many unexplored areas of the southern South America.

In 1999 he headed off for Japan where he got a Master and a PhD in Geo-environmental Sciences from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. Currently he is researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan.

He regularly conducts training courses and lectures both in Japan and the Southeast Asia region. His work has been presented at a number of academic meetings, and he has also contributed to several international journals. Ms. Diana Silonova, SLOVAKIA

Ms. Diana Silonova was born in Levoca, Slovakia. She is an enthusiastic Senior Program Manager and Vice President of VASE Management a US based event planning company dealing with strategic communication and webdesign.

Each year Diana's company organizes a Chinese American Scholars Association E-Leader’s Conference and investment trips both in Africa and East of Europe. With a natural ability to motivate participants, she  facilitates a number of training sessions for VASE's events in Europe and the US. With professionalism, Diana brings quality to any project she is engaged in. Her endless passion is soccer coaching.

Mr. Adolf Evarist, TANZANIA

Mr. Adolf Evarist is a national from Tanzania. Adolf joined the Central Bank of Tanzania in 2006 as Development Economist. In that capacity he contributes with substantive expert inputs to the Central Bank which is the major advisor to the government of Tanzania.

Before joining the Central Bank of Tanzania he served as Economist and Programme Officer in the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Tanzania and Consultant to a number of international and national institutions on issues related to Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) development in Africa, development cooperation and poverty issues.

Mr. Miguel Bermudez Quiñones, MEXICO

Mr. Miguel Bermúdez Quiñones is a national from Mexico. He shares his professional time as Professor at the Law School of the Universidad Juarez of the Durango State (UJED) and Sub-Director of Labour and Social Prevision at the Durango State Government.

He is a lawyer and holds a Master in Laws with specialization in Labour Rights and Social Security awarded by the University of Barcelona, Spain. With further specialization in Employment Policies, University of Bologna, Italy and Business Development, University of Zaragoza, Spain.
 
Mr. Bermudez is co-author of a recent publication entitled: “Labour Rights in the Globalisation”, that has allowed him to be invited and participate in a number of international conferences held in Austria, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Spain, France, Italy, Peru, Portugal, Venezuela, Nicaragua. Mr. Sergey Filippov, RUSSIA

Mr. Sergey Filippov is a Russian national. He is currently pursuing a PhD programme in Economics and Policy Studies of Technical Change at the United Nations University (UNU), Maastricht, the Netherlands.

He holds a Bachelor degree in National Economy, Urals State University of Economics (Russia) and two Master degrees; a Master of Arts in Management from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and an Executive Master in International and European Relations at the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands).

As former AIESEC's Director for Russia, Sergey has been exposed to a variety of substantive international training and research projects. His main interest includes globalisation of innovation process, role of entrepreneurship and its policy implications. Ms. Erika Loimukallio, FINLAND

Ms. Erika Loimukallio is a national from Finland. She is Managing Director of Eksentria, a company based in Turku, and aimed at providing leading knowledge in digital content technologies, marketing and e-learning. Prior starting-up Eksentria, Erika was involved in various business projects in the field of marketing and content technology.

Ms. Loimukallio, finishes a MSc. in Global Innovation Management at the Turku School of Economics. She also holds a BBA in International Business Operations by the Turku University of Applied Sciences and a specialization at the University of Deusto, Spain.

Erika´s company is member of the Centre for Open Source Software (COSS), eMatch.eu, and the Federation of Finnish Enterprises. Her major interest lies in open source as a new business model, the development of emerging markets via e-education and social networks. Mr. Koson Sapprasert, THAILAND

 

Mr. Koson Sapprasert is a national of Thailand. He is a scholar affiliated with Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) and the Centre for Technology, Innovation and Culture (TIK) at the University of Oslo, where he pursues his PhD on Innovation Strategies and Organizational change.

 

Prior to joining CAS and TIK, Koson had worked as Assistant Director for the Thai Foam Group, Thailand’s largest foam manufacturer. Koson has also contributed to several large-scale European research projects and attended to major conferences related to innovation and entrepreneurship worldwide.

 

Mr. Sapprasert holds a Master of Arts and Science in Society, Science and Technology from the University of Oslo in Norway and Linkoping University in Sweden, and a Master of Science in Engineering and Management of Information Systems from Stockholm University and the Royal Institute of Technology.
